Hi everyone!

Welcome to Through Hazel Eyes - my little release for all the content my brain thinks up.

So, who am I?

Well, my name is Shannon - a country-grown girl who moved to the big city.

Born in ’95 with hazel eyes, I grew up in Ipswich with my Mum and Dad, and my gorgeous girlie, Moon (my beloved cat, God rest her soul!).  I have two older brothers and a massive family scattered around England, with a couple overseas, too.

I studied my English Language degree in Cambridge, where I was lucky enough to meet a whole bunch of weirdos I now call friends.  We're absolutely crap at keeping in touch but we like each others Instagram posts and I think that counts as friendship in 2022, right?

I've always dreamed about becoming a Journalist but life took me in a different direction after university.

I got my first ‘official’ welcome-to-the-real-world job in 2016 as a sales-rep for Nestlé.  Basically, I spent seven months eating my bodyweight in chocolate.  After a couple of different sales roles, including being the Director of a joint sales and marketing business, I've left the industry in pursuit of my dream. 

I’ve always had a massive passion for writing and am curious to learn about others' lives (that's a polite way of saying I'm super nosey).  So in 2022, I finally enrolled into an online Journalism course!  While I work on making a career out of my hobby, I'll still be here, posting for you.
